It is a thoroughly compiled collection of journal entries that the author religiously writes during his travels. In this book, Fedor Konyukhov describes his first expeditions (between 1981 and 1994) in the mountains of Chukotka; a solo trek to the North Pole; the summit of Mt. Everest; and the first two circumnavigations on the sail boats Karaana and Formosa. The author’s vision for each expedition is to see and experience the world. Each year Fedor Konyukhov has a list of goals to achieve and he works relentlessly to tackle obstacles, to find financial means to sustain an expedition and to achieve the desired outcome in spite of colossal physical demands and dangers associated with exploring the world as a solo adventurer.
