While participating in the race “Vendee Globe – 2000” Fedor Konyukhov created dozens of drawings for the Dao De Jing book. It was one of his long-time goals as an artist to reflect on the wisdom and philosophy of Lao-Tzu’s writings. While sailing in the ‘roaring forties’ and ‘furious fifties’ Fedor continued to create one drawing after another for each and very chapter in the Dao De Jing. One of the benefits of this expedition was that it allowed Fedor to separate himself from the busyness of everyday life in order to focus and reflect on the teachings of Dao.

On the way to Cape Horn

On the Edge of possibility

One Story

My Way to Truth

The power of faith: 160 days and nights of solitude in the Pacific Ocean

My expeditions: the next ten years

My expeditions

The Pacific Ocean

How I can became an explorer

The Antarctica

On how admiral Ushakov made the Black sea russian

The Crimean War: Defence of Sevastopol

Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov

Under the scarlet sails

The ocean is my dwelling space

Alone with the ocean

Knocking down the stars while saling

And I saw the new heavens and the new earth…

The road without ground

A rower in the ocean

All birds have wings

My spirit on the deck of “Karaana”
