The famous naval commander Feodor Fedorovich Ushakov played a huge role in the liberation of the Black Sea shores from the Ottoman rule and in the struggle of Greece for independence. For his heroic deeds in the name of the Fatherland and his righteous life, His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II in the year of 2000 blessed the glorification of the admiral of the Russian fleet Feodor Ushakov in the name of the righteous locally venerated saints. The icon of the Holy Righteous Warrior Feodor Ushakov was painted according to sketches of Fedor Konyukhov.

Saint Nicholas, the Miracle Worker of Myra. Cape Gornovsky
The icon was painted by the Russian adventurer Archpriest Fedor Konyukhov during a round-the-world sailing on a yacht during the passage of Cape Horn in 2008. The saint’s days of memory are 6/19 December and 9/22 May. Saint Nicholas was born in the town of Patara, in the Lycian region. Being elected bishop of the city of Myra of Lycia, he led his congregation by examples of humility, gentleness, and love for people. A few times the Saint saved those drowning in the sea, fought for freedom of people in captivity and imprisonment. At the old age, in about 350 AD, St. Nicholas reposed in the Lord.

Holy Great Martyr Feodor Stratelates
Feodor Stratelates (“commander, commander in chief” in Greek) was the ruler of Heraclius of Pontus in Asia Minor. Under the emperor Licinius in 319 AD, for the confession of faith in Christ, he was martyred - he was crucified on a cross after cruel scourging, and then he was beheaded with a sword. The saint’s days of memory are 8/21 February and June 21.

Saint martyr Nikolai (Archpriest Nikolai Konyukhov) was born in 1860 in the family of a priest Petr Konyukhov. In December 1918, he accepted the martyr's demise for the Faith of Christ. In the year of 2000, he was canonized by the Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church. The saint’s days of memory is 7 June.
