This week-end maxi Open 85 “Trading Network Alye Parusa” received new set of sails from North Sails France. This is our standard offshore set of sails which we annually order from NS. Although this year we decided to go for spectra carbon (previously we have used 3DL cloth).
On the 09th of September together with NS sails designer Laurent Mahy we conducted our first sea trials here in FalmouthBay. The sails met Fedor’s requirements and Laurent also was happy to see the final result of his work.
This week we are expecting sea trials with our rigging company Allspars Ltd and PBO supplier Navtec in order to test and tune new PBO standing rigging and stays.
The boat will depart to Australia by middle of October 2007 to take part in Antarctica Cup Race Track event.
